Well the dust has settled over the last few days and we'd like to officially announce the departure of drummer Gary Tumnus from Inch of Dark. Gary has served his time well with the band and we appreciate everything he has done but he has decided to move on and pursue other avenues in life and we wish him well. As for I.O.D. we continue on FULL BORE BABY!!! We're happy to say we have a replacement for the time being and will still be attacking our scheduled shows as well as hitting the studio for our second EP later this summer. The following is Gary's goodbye...
"Nothing is 100% constant in life and sometimes things change. Life priorities, societal changes, and such. It is with a heavy heart and some tears that I must announce that tonight I have resigned from my position as the drummer of Inch Of Dark. The past year and a half has been insane, fun, surprising, and unfortunately sad at one point, but it has been one of the most important chapters in my life. The moments with Eric, Jerome, Danny, Wolf, and Garrett have been nothing short of amazing and I'll never forget my experiences during my tenure. This isn't to say that it's goodbye or anything. I'm here to support the band as much as I can. It's just that the direction in life I'm headed musically and personally is not the same road as the rest of Inch Of Dark, and as such it is best that someone more deserving of the position that will be able to help the band grow take my spot. I love the guys like brothers and will always be there to hang out and drink some brews and hang out and such. Just not business partners anymore."

I.O.D. is gearing up and ready to hit a town near you with a vengeance! We've been rehearsing with new bassist Eric and really starting to dial it in. Check out our calendar for tour dates. We will also be entering Mesa Studios this summer to record our second EP!!
The last two weeks have been crazy! We brought in Eric Dickerson as the new permanent bass player for I.O.D. just 5 days before our 3 shows for our debut SXSW run and it rocked. Can't wait for next year. On a somber note, 3/17 marked the year anniversary of the passing of founder and bassist Garrett Parvin. We continue to carry on Garrett's love of music and dream and we will never forget. With SXSW behind us our next show is back with our good friends Snake Skin Prison to celebrate lead singer Matt Ballengee's birthday at The Red Eyed Fly May 10th!
Big Changes.... On Tuesday 2/25/14 I.O.D. made our Austin radio debut on KLBJ FM. Thursday 2/27/14 we parted ways with bassist Wolf Madore. As with any partnership we all have to be on the same page and although we didn't share the same vision we wish Wolf well in his future endeavors. To take his permanent place we welcome Eric Dickerson in to the Inch of Dark family. Eric is a Texas rock beast formally of Velvet Brick and is a well established local studio musician. We are super stoked to have Eric as the new bassist for Inch of Dark.
We are super stoked to announce we will be playing the Red Gorilla Music Festival during Austin's biggest week of music.

INCH OF DARK RETURNS
August 22nd @ 10:00 pm I.O.D. returns to the stage at
Red Eyed Fly
Coincidentally the final show of the old lineup back in Dec. of 2012 was at Red Eyed Fly. The events of the last seven months have been dark and sad with the loss of bandmate Garrett Parvin. Instead of calling it quits, we decided to keep his dream alive. Join us as we return to the stage.
We are excited to announce the addition of Danny Garcia as the new rhythm guitarist for Inch of Dark.
